    1. No-one can win any grand tour if they are not in it. And if you are in it, any GC contender can win it, depending on incidents and accidents for the other riders.

    2. Everything is possible. Michael Mørkøv and Fabio Jakobsen could win the Tour. It is just extremely unlikely and everything has to go horrendously wrong for the entire peloton and go perfect for them.
The same for Remco although the possibility is a lot bigger for him. But baring major accidents, illness and bad luck to the major contenders like Vingo, Pogi, Roglic, Yates, Hindley and a couple more, he won't win the Tour.

    3. A few months ago, there was an interesting article in the New York Times about how the more variables in a system, the more unpredictable the results. Such as with a model with 2 factors, the results are fairly predictable, but with 3, things get very wonky. So with 4 realistic GC contenders, I’m suspecting that not the best rider will win, but it’s impossible to predict

    4. The real determining factor is how good Vanmol's form is in the off season and 2024. He means everything to Remco and the QuickStep boys.

    5. He rides too inconsistently and seems to embrace that riding style, so no, not a GC contender for the Tour. Will take many stages for sure but will ride in the gruppetto in others.

    6. Where-ever he starts, ANY race he's riding will be an exciting race. TDF 2024 is "incontournable" (a must) though, LBL almost certain. TDF he is able to win, because you never know what"s going to happen,

    7. No, but who cares? Win a stage or two, get involved, race hard Remco. But do consider doing what Chris Horner was talking about at the Vuelta once he was out of it on GC, ride with the top guys, see what they do and how they do it. Then reset for the '25, 26 Tours, and get some fresh blood in that know about racing 3 week Tours.

    8. Remco should only do the Tour. You want him to do all the Ardennes classics and the Giro and the Tour and then also the Olympics and Worlds?! Sounds like a very bad idea.

    9. I think it is very possible remco could win the Giro or Vuelta multiple times during his career. But he will probably need pog and Jonas to drop out of a tour to ever win. Not to mention the next generation coming up.
