On Komoot I created an interesting circular ride of around 200 miles which I reckon could have been completed in less than 4 days with 3 overnight Wild Camps, I had planned to do this ride with my good friend Dave, but unfortunately Dave had a bit of lurgy and wasn’t at full fitness so we decided to shorten the route by around half.
Here’s a link to that planned tour: https://www.komoot.com/tour/1319781460/zoom
Here is a link to the recorded route on strava which we actually cycled:

    1. Again Excellent lovely little roads, in the main Sandy ..Enjoyed that ruin.,,. I wish I could cycle now but according the the hospital reports my cycling days are over . But…. er I may get a small run in better weather about but I reckon not.. thank you Both again

    2. Sandy, help, you are worried about your fitness at 61, I'm returning to touring and cycle camping at the age of 67 after an absence of 10 years. Wishing you and Dave, many, many years of happy cycling.

    3. You two even feeling under the weather could still run rings around me! But fair play for knowing when enough was enough, still a very entertaining video and I hope to see you both soon, God bless you both.

    4. Sandy you are a credit to Swindon and its surrounding counties 🙌 I hope dave is OK even though he sounds a lot healthier on camera 👌 my pleasure to watch your video's 👏👏👏👍

    5. Fair play to both of you Sandy not being that young of men but still up for it. As the saying goes, age is just a number which you have proved many times, this being just another. My part of the country but it looks so different from a bike than a car and getting places I haven't seen for years. I think you have answered your own question about being tip top with the obvious answer by doing and showing as you can be as tip top as you want to be, or enough. Nice hot soaky bath for you both when you get home. But again Sandy, hats off to both of you as you may not have all your health, but nothing wrong with the backbone of either of you.

    6. Hi from Ireland. Another great production, well done. A few weeks ago i drove to Rosslare ferry terminal in the southeast of Ireland, i cycled on to the ferry and crossed over to Pembroke. I spent a nice few days cycling around Pembrokshire.

    7. always enjoy your wild camping trips on trails etc. regularly watch your winter ridgeway, Darcy Dalton way and of course, the Youtube classic, Coast to Coast. Keep up the good work Sandy.

    8. Nice one! It isn't how far you go, it is getting out and just doing it! I use Komoot also over here across the river.
Good thing is you both made it home safe!

    9. Ur a joke u went though a red light the both off u .. there nothing worse when cyclist do this is it any wonder car drivers like me and other cyclist like me hate people like u two…

    10. I would say the ride was beautiful. The engineering on the tunnel and canal/lock works is amazing. I enjoy the drone shots over the beautiful valley and countryside.
      Thank you.

    11. Really enjoy your adventures Sandy BUT as a car driver NOTHING pisses me off more than bike riders cycling through red lights Especially by mounting the pavement!!
Would you do that on a motorbike,, No ! So why do it on a push bike ???
