In this video, I pack up my bike for a bikepacking adventure on the Pirinexus route for 3 days. The route begins in Girona, Spain, and loops around northern Catalunya’s eye-opening landscape. I rode the route counterclockwise to see the ocean on my first day which made day two very difficult with its steep climbing. I hope you enjoy the video and remember to like, comment, and subscribe if you enjoyed it. If you have any questions just leave them below and I will answer them.

Epic trip filled with ups and downs. When you flew with your bike did you leave the bike bag at the start point and just return to the same hotel to retrieve it?
Thanks for taking us along and showing the reality of being out there on the road having adventures! Looks like a nice route.
I’m convinced our success as cyclists is defined by our capacity to suffer. Awesome trip, thanks for sharing.
Sweet. Did you book your lodging ahead or just wing it? Also way to power through the seized pedal 🙂
Ooof! That pedal issue would have tore me up. Way to muscle through it!
this is amazing content. I'm not into gravel as of yet but thisbmake me want to do a gravel ride/tour
thank you for sharing the experience. This video is a whirlwind of emotions. It just shows it's not all smiles and sunshine. I've got the same pedals 😳. at least I know what to do if they fail.
FYI your Oakley glasses video taught me more than the sales rep at my sporting goods store. 👍
Thanks for the adventure sights awesome.
Thanks for sharing this, awesome video !! I was wondering if there were any great gravel routes near Girona, because I am planning to go there next year. This route looks awesome, so I am glad I discovered it. You do not expect something like your pedals to fail on you during a bike trip, so that was a bummer for you. During my cycling trip last summer, I also had a (shimano) pedal fail on me. Very annoying. I am still looking for pedals that would last a long time, but have not decided on which yet. Enjoy your time in Spain !
All by your self
The couple from the YouTube channel path less pedaled are also there now, you should connect with them
What happened at 8:30 ?
Awesome trip. If ever you come to Toronto let me know. Thanks for sharing.
Nice trip ☺️I’ve a few pairs of shimano xtr….slick as butter…..invest in those 🙂👍🏻
what bike luggage is that in your video?
Thanks for sharing this beautiful journey. I live close to Girona myself and to see you coming all the way from the US to do this give me even more confidence to give that route a try.
a pedal is one of those things that i just expect to work and to work reliably. good thing you were able to resolve it. very jealous watching this video from flat and ugly dallas.
Good job mate!
A Shimano pedal failure is seriously bad luck Their SPDs can out last bikes with zero maintenance and repeatedly being smashed against rocks.
2000m climbing in 56km is a bit of a toughie. I did nearly a 100Om in 19km up Col de la Madone a few years back. Glad I had no luggage on for that one.
