On the third day of my bike tour around the island of Senja, I took a detour to a fantastic little beach called Bostranda. After that I made my way up to Bergsbotn viewpoint overlooking the impressive Bergsfjorden. A long and tough afternoon followed where I battled the cold and tourgh head wind ahead of me.

  1. Unfortunately I had to cut this trip a bit short, but I intend to go back to Norway next year and cycle all the way from Lofoten to Nordkapp. This is such an amazing part of the world with photo opportunies around every corner.

  2. You knocked it out of the Patti again! Amazing scenery. It was very inspirational. One of the things I look forward to on Saturday. One question, do you get credit when the advertisement plays all the way through? If you get it I don't mind waiting through them. Google… not so much. Thanks so much for sharing!

  3. Superb tour, thanks for sharing, the scenery is so beautifull, hope Corona will be over soon so we can travel again, you made me wanting to ride these beautifull regions, in Norway or Sweden, I keep your videos so I can make my route when I will be able to ride.

  4. Given the information you had, Mike, so very understandable decision to call it a trip and head home. Thank your for bringing us along and sharing such a breathtaking landscape.

  5. Hi Mike, you made the right call and aborted the tour which I loved. Raspberries in November? How cool is that and so far north, Must be the Gulf Stream Effect. Did you make dinner with coconut milk. Hmmm. Just asking.

  6. How could you have a bad ride in beautiful country like that. The tunnel system there for bikes is pretty amazing as well. Once again beautiful content. Take care and stay safe, Al

  7. Very nice tour Mike. I've been home for about two weeks since my last trip and watching this makes me want to get back out there. That's a beautiful island but high winds are no fun. I bet your family will be glad to see you back a little early also. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Atb, Tony

  8. This was a beautifully shot video. Yet again. I think you were very sensible to shorten the tour due to the weather. Holidays are supposed to be enjoyable. There is no point being a martyr to an itinerary. I am looking forward to your next video.

  9. Weldon solo rider and congratulations for drown…
You have such a beautiful place and paradise for riding rich breathing and maybe you agree with me that in this area where only you with yourself helps to make decisions and future planning..

  10. What a shame you had to cut your trip short, but I know all about the weather. I did my first 50+km ride yesterday (a mix of road, gravel and muddy woodland trails my bike was not designed for) and the last 10k was in the dark with a headwind and rain. My legs gave up on one of the last big ascents (which wasn't that big to be honest) and I had to get off the bike and have a rest for a short while but couldn't stop for too long as I was soaked/wet and the wind chill was not good. It's been great to follow you on this journey. I'm looking forwards to your next trip. Take care Mike

  11. Hi Mike, another great video, well done. Shame about the weather but never mind there is always the next one, looking forward to it👍Take care

  12. Tjena Mike, shame this trip came to an early end, but a wise decision I'm sure. For 2020 3 days across any international border was an achievement. Still cycling to work? Ed.

  13. The tour around the island was beautiful and peaceful. I would like to make that ride. During the time you were riding was there any possibility of snow? I don't know anything about the seasons in Norway or about weather above the Arctic Circle. BTW I have a 2019 Kona Sutra that is being assembled. It arrived at my house on the Wednesday of the first week of the COVID total shut down in March. I am planning a mountain biking trip to Utah and then I plan to ride the Kona coast to coast here in the US. I hope to tour Scandinavia on the Kona after my US ride. Do you have any plans to tour the US? Be safe 👍☮️🌞🚴

  14. Beautiful video Mike. I have been fortunate to have visited Norway (just a short stay near Tromso area). Beautiful land for sure! Great video… especially love the fact that you are not constantly talking over the music and just let us enjoy the scenery and excellent background music. Well done!

  15. Hey Mikael, hope you're well…smart move, I'm always up for avoiding that nasty weather. Appears all the motorist got the memo to stay off the road whilst you cycled through. Enjoyed it Mike!
I know this episode has been out and I'm just catching up…approaching the holidays now…I wish you and family a wonderful Christmas and the very best in the New Year.

  16. My goodness, this is so pretty. Thanks so much for allowing us to live the experience vicariously through your videos. I live in a region of Maine where there is a Swedish enclave ( towns of New Sweden and Stockholm…). I see such similarities in both architecture and territory- minus the high mountains of course.

  17. That is excellent cinematography! Well done. I know how much work it is to incorporate so much video on a bike ride. Lots of extra stops and backtracking. But you gave your viewers a real treat.

  18. Sorry, Mike, that the weather didn't work out for you on this tour. Very beautiful Island and liked your music choices that went along with the video.
