In this episode of The Debrief, former 22 SAS Trooper Big Phil Campion speaks to Dave Coleman.

Having decided the military was his destiny at a young age, Dave persevered through his schooling whilst dealing with a stammer he developed. Dave credits his time in the Royal Marines and their training methods for helping him to improve his confidence and ability to perform under pressure. After a grenade blast on tour, Dave picked up some injuries and an Afghan flesh eating disease, and has since gone on to launch a training business to help potential recruits build the skills necessary to join the Royal Marines.

Civvy2Commando offers training plans, weekend courses and now corporate training days to civilians and potential recruits to prepare them for the arduous basic training. Dave has also recorded a mini-series with Force Radio to deliver the requirements of the basic training at Lympstone (Coming Soon)

    1. I'm absolutely loving these podcasts. The underlying theme of them all of triumph over adversity is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing your story dave & good luck with the training programs. Cheers as always too phil, this is a great podcast.

    2. Lovely bloke, with an ace but at the same time sad story. Don’t know if you’ve seen it but on Fill Your Boots – UK, Alfie has been posting remembrance stuff up for a few days; absolutely shocking stories, gen.

    3. I’m too old now anyway but I had a look at Mumble’s website and it flickers around too much for me. Due to my age, I expect. Anyway, all the best Mumbles, you deserve a reward after all you’ve been through. Stay strong, bro’.

    4. What a top guy DC is I couldn’t recommend him to people anymore, he has so much time for people. Even people who don’t buy his training programmes, I know this first hand as before I started with him I had asked him a few questions and he was more than willing to help!! He is a really good bloke!

    5. Absolutely loved catching up with Big Phil on this episode. What a great guy and can’t wait to do more in the future.

Thank you all for listening and big thanks to Force Radio for having me on.

    6. Love the podcast and this one was as enjoyable as all the others I've listened to.
Have a slight moan, but hoping it's taken in the way that it's meant…and could just be me, but would be great if you can try to sort out the sound on your videos.. there's something just a bit off with the quality and have to turn up the TV quite loud to hear ppl speaking. Apart from that, your stuff is top notch mate ❤
