The Zillertal valley is a mountain biking paradise with more than 1200km of routes against backdrops like this and routes to suit all levels and abilities. We had an awesome introduction to electric assisted mountain biking on Penken above Finkenberg in the Ziller Valley, Austria. You get a turbo boost going up so you have more energy to explore, go further or for longer. We headed up until we could almost touch the paragliders. Having tried them I think these E-mountain bikes could be the great leveller in family mountain biking. Have you tried one? What did you think?
Our thanks to Stefan Kroll of Bikeguide Zillertal for guiding and instruction.
