This bike tour started in Krakow, Poland into neighboring Slovakia, Austria (via Vienna), and ended in Prague in the Czeck Republic. Along the way, a number of historic sites were visited (e.g., Oskar Schindler’s factory, Auschwitz Prison Camp) and some hiking was done in the Tatra Mountains on the Poland-Solvakia border. Road conditions improved immensely after leaving Poland. Poland is one of the few countries in the world where the number of boys entering the priesthood is actually increasing. This presentation tries to capture the unique architecture of this part of Europe. What it doesn’t show is the high temperatures and humidity encourntered on the trip during a record heat wave. Even Polish so-called “5-star” hotels had no fans!
