In this video you will see a long Christmas market walk in Aachen city in Germany. This tour was filmed on a night in the end of November 2023 and covers the main Christmas Markets in the city center and of course the beautiful Aachen Cathedral & Town Hall (Rathaus). For about four weeks before Christmas, the squares and lanes around Aachen Cathedral and the town hall are transformed into a Christmas village. Twinkling lights and the scent of mulled wine and Aachener Printen (kind of gingerbread) wherever you go. It’s no coincidence that Aachen Christmas market has regularly made it to the top ten Best Christmas Markets in Europe in recent years.

Our walk starts close to the cathedral and then we proceed to the town hall. Afterwards we will return to the beginning point. Enjoy unique, beautifully decorated Christmas markets and Christmas lights in the city with many handcrafted goods & tasty German foods. The history of the Christmas Market / Printenmarkt goes back to the seventies. Originally when it was held around the Elisa Fountain the “Printen Market” was rather small.

Fully shot in 4K HDR 60fps with binaural audio, hope you will enjoy this walking tour! Recorded on a rainy night in November 2023 and the temperature was around 6 degrees Celsius.
