as an unbiased foodie whos lived in the UK for about 15 years and has also lived in Germany before, I can honestly say the german (turkish) doner is superior to UK style ….I've had both hundreds of times and I enjoy both but the german one is better overall ..

I once spent a weekend in Berlin eating exclusively kebabs from the same corner kebab shop, huge, cheap and freking delicious. Those Turks know what they're doing.

Born and bred English, but have to admit GDK beats probably 80% of local kebabs in UK.
A LOT of the local ones use trash quality meat which is full of gristle, if he tried that, would be bad review.
