    1. Here are enough Ukrainians hiding in germany and living a safe life far away from the war zone. They do not even care about serving and defending.

    2. Yep. That's pretty well right. Equipping an army is also a bottleneck. So the commanders will only be wanting to equip those who have been recently trained and those with past training. Which means Ukraine has a lot of trained soldiers before it needs conscripts which you mentioned, whilst Ruzzia is already into equipping convicts and conscripts. Ruzzia is actually scrapping the bottom of its available barrel of trained men.

    3. We live in different times. People want to live, not to make sacrifices especially not to die prematurely. My great-grandfather came to Europe from Chicago as a volunteer in ww1 most likely to fight Torstens grandad ;), so I exist and live in Europe. Now is different, life has more practical meaning.

    4. No Ukraine is not but they also need men to work to keep there country running farmers manufacturing etcetera if Ukraine was running low a worldwide call would go out there are millions who will go fight many with training like myself!!

    5. The limiting factor for Russia isn't the existence of manpower, it is the willingness of the citizenry to continue providing it. This is overcome by incentives and propaganda to a degree, but more-so by coercion, at the cost of abysmal morale. Ukraine has little compromise of morale due to conscription, because it is offset by a genuine high moral purpose, in place of unconvincing propaganda disinformation. When the mission is self-evidently self-defense, no implausible justifications are required.

    6. As in every long term war, professional soldiers tend to end… Do you believe a mature man who has been working as a school teacher for half of his life, for example, can be trained and converted to an efficient soldier?

    7. The men who fled the country should be charged with treason and have warrants out for their arrest. They should be forced to return and every country they are hiding in should be looking for them to return them. Once returned they should be forced to be put on front lines after training. If they come back voluntarily then they are in the military for life and get to choose their role within a set group of optoons. Women should be in the military in much higher numbers and Ukraine is being smart about where they are placing people with skills and different physical abilities

    8. 43 is the average! I listened to everything Torsten said. But 43 average seems like something seriously wrong going on!
The pre-war average is misleading because Ukraine was a mobilisation army – i.e. lots of older experienced officers that can absorb a mobilisation of young men.

    9. We are not talking about an army of middle aged men.
We are talking about an army that has more men over 55 than under 30
Meanwhile the Russians added over 400,000 men under contract in 2023. While still doing training 250,000 young men as part of the normal draft.

Its shocking that Ukraine is still talking about major training issues…
22 months in, are u going to resolve these training issues, or are u going to lose the war?

    10. If they start putting women in the military it's over, they won't even lose with dignity. Imagine having to live knowing the fact you pushed girls into war.

    11. As a new viewer i would prefer if you didn't use clickbaity titles. look at Perun's or William Spaniel's titles , no clickbait. And they are two of the most recognised explainers of the conflict.
i understand that clickbait gives views and engagement but it also destroys credibility even if corrected mediately. And that is disappointing because the content is quite good.
Hope you take it into consideration.
      best of luck.
