Dude, same thing happened to me in Switzerland. Luckily the front desk attendant let me use her bike pump. Have fun!

Best way to remember your pump is to leave it clipped to the frame. Us oldies have no choice as we forget everything!
What do you carry for emergency repair when you go on a ride? Tubeless can still flat. You should at least carry a couple of co2 cartridges and a plug.

Mate, for 1 US Dollar, you can buy a Schrader to Presta valve adapter which means you can use any petrol station air pump, and this’ll never happen again. Heck, Amazon has 4 adapters for $4.99USD. I’m sure the Uk has them avail.

Every other person in Italy has a bike pump, just ask.
