    1. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Part 4 of diary of an enlisted man in Germany's army, who served on both the Eastern and Western fronts and was wounded four times before being captured in 1944. After a highly unpleasant stay in a French POW camp, he was turned over to American authorities and sent to the U.S., where he spent a comparatively comfortable 14 months in several POW camps. Repatriated in 1948, He worked as a dental technician until his death.

    2. Excited for the new part of this soldier's story.
      I must say that if any part could be named as the part that hooked me, it is his mention of how while searching for the edge is justified by the need to simply know where the edge was.

    3. As a lifetime chef I have some advice for the German soldiers who were ordering dinner in the French cafe. Do not order oysters when you are that far from the ocean. Especially in the 1940s where every place didn't have an ice machine.

    4. Guys I have a handicap with my hearing and so I'm forced to use the closed captions and yours have been all screwed up in this series. Please try to get that right in the future because I've had to crank it up just to be able to hear it and I'm still having trouble. The captioning is way way way way way way off.
