Just Stop Oil protesters descended on Waterloo Bridge today as they slow-marched and sat in the road, bringing rush-hour traffic chaos to Central London . The demonstration began at about 9.30am, and the Metropolitan Police told the activists to move out of the road to continue protesting on the pavement. Scotland Yard said officers were on scene within a minute of the report and began making arrests when the protesters failed to comply with the order. A paramedic begged police to be given access through the road, saying he was trying to save someone’s life.

Ok protesters, check the list of how many other products are made with petroleum. The sign you are flashing, the backpack you're carrying, the contacts or glasses any of you may be wearing, the shoes on your feet, the toothbrush you use, and the list goes on and on. The only way to protest properly is to NOT use anything made with oil or petroleum, which means living in a cave with no clothes and hunting your own food with rocks or sticks! Blocking an Ambulance or any other Emergency Vehicle (Fire Engines, Police Vehicles) is clearly Illegal and somehow it happened. It will lead to the protesters being charged with Obstruction under the Emergency Workers (Obstruction) Act 2006 and is punishable with a fine of Up to Level 5 on the Standard Scale.
