Another new German route and new Diesel Multiple Unit for ‘Train Sim World 4’ in the same geographic region as the previously released ‘Main Spessart Bahn’ many years ago. This rural and regional line flows south along the Main River Valley in Bavaria from Aschaffenburg to Miltenberg (burg/berg/birg?) with all new DB BR 642 DMU.
    Let’s dive right in!

    1. IMO its another pointless addon anyway like the glossop line even though it might be modelled well/ok-ish

Also i know its a bit beaten to death but blackpool branches could maybe get fun reveiwed in your style

    2. Thanks for covering this man, was interested in the 642 but wasn't sure about the route. Have you tried Blackpool Branches? I know you're not the biggest BR fan but its up there with Niddertalbahn with the route building. Didn't want to give DTG another 40 bones but Just Trains did the route well enough.

    3. You can turn off your driver assist messages by the way if you don't like them.

Sounds require more bass and each gear change needs to last longer according to forum members

    4. Love your video it helps me when I have a hard time doing things in train simulator classic. I have one question, and hopefully, I can get an understanding. One of the videos you did was on the CPKC Columbia Mountain and I had all the requirements and when I load into trains simulator classic and click on any dealing with the route the tracks won't show up beside a couple of switches, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong. (It loads up fine but around 90% of the tracks don't show up and I have all the requirements to get it

    5. I could believe the ground colours for high summer in Britain, and we're generally wetter than Germany. Among the trees might be a bit too brown for deciduous woodland, but possibly not for needle-covered pine forest. OTOH high summer's not where you want to go for an average colouration.

Bit sad that they actually have barge models in the boat yards, but not in the port or on the river.

    6. Despite the reused assets which happens with all three main regions I find myself buying mostly German content for TSW since German rollingstock overlays across it's routes more compared to UK and American ones. The route looks nice but there's no urgency to get it.

After watching the DTG stream they seem to put as much effort into those as their products as it was rough to watch.

    7. You really put the "world" in Train Sim World reviews, SP. 🌍 Respect the effort.

I'm more hesitant over the loco. It's a really nice looking train set. But after so many electrified lines, running diesels on German routes feels weird to me now. Plus, the last German DMU I bought just never clicked with me, despite being very well reviewed. So German diesels just might not be my jam. The lower pricing was tempting, though.
